While global food production has more than kept pace with the increase in population, the rate of growth in agricultural output, particularly in the developing world, has been declining in recent years. Increasing agricultural productivity in a sustainable manner is central to ensuring global food security and the conservation of the environment. In emerging economies, carefully managed agricultural systems also provide opportunities for wealth creation and employment generation. Enhancing the sustainability and productivity of agricultural systems is key to the conservation of natural resources, the development of rural livelihoods and ultimately to the reduction in rural poverty in the developing world.

Our proven track record

Booker Tate has extensive experience in conceptualising, planning, implementing and managing agro-industrial enterprises and projects in diverse and challenging environments. Over the past 50 years it has carried out over 1,500 assignments in the agricultural sectors of more than 120 countries. Although specialised in providing a wide range of technical and managerial expertise to the sugar industry, Booker Tate's recent experience also includes livestock (poulry and crocodiles), perennial crops (coffee and oil palm) and animal feed production.
